Ballet/Pointe

Ballet is the foundation of dance.  It demands grace and precision and uses technical vocabulary of steps, poses, leaps and jumps, to convey a story/theme/atmosphere.

Pointe is a form of dance that is performed on the tips of toes through the use of specific shoes. It incorporates the vocabulary of ballet technique and adds an element of magic to its movement.  Your child’s ballet teacher will determine when your dancer is ready to begin pointe.

Attire: Females- Pink ballet shoes, pink tights, black leotard, hair in a bun.  Pointe shoes are required for pointe classes.  Males – Tight white t-shirt, black dance pants, black ballet shoes.
